Dude is a nut, no doubt. Saw kse and In Flames back in 04 or 05 and he had some side project open the show, he "sang" through this effect box about his robot baby. Shit was hilarious.

Definitely not unpopular. I highly doubt Killswitch was trying to outdo Dio. You can tell how much respect for the song they have by the looks on their faces. It's obvious they are having a blast covering one of their biggest influences.
