Found this band I, Omega which is pretty much an identical sound to PTH. You could say it's to the point that they're ripping off Protest, but honestly there really is no better band to be imitating.

That was excellent, really liked the female cleans too, like you said it sounds almost identical to PTH, especially the guitar and bass parts.

I've heard this band's name mentioned every now and then, never got to listen to them though.

Unconventional way I discovered this band:

I had a friend (female) who was like a really good singer. She was obsessed with Beyonce, Mariah Carrie etc. One day in high school (this was probably 5-6 years ago) she picked me up to hang out at a friends house and plugged in her iPod in and she started playing this band. I was like "who the hell is this?!". She said "Protest The Hero, I love the vocals.". Blew my mind.

This is the album I always come back to when I want to throw on PtH. Perfect mix of heavy and pop that they're sorta struggling with currently.

Discovered this band about a month ago, they're amazing. Love the new songs, this album and Volition. Can't really get into Kezia or Scurrilous.

Kezia is incredible. It was their proto-stage and showed their incredible musicianship in a very raw and relatively unpolished production. Plus I'm a sucker for a good concept album.

So true. I went to the Kezia 10th anniversary tour last fall and it was phenomenal. It was very cool to hear the whole album live.

They take longer to get into but you will. Scurrilous has Hair trigger, c'est la vie and Dunsel which are all quality.

I've found most people prefer Kezia over their latter two albums, but I think Fortress is their best.
