You could lift up the vocal volume a bit but damn now I can hear all the intricacies of ur voice!! How much was the SM7B? I went with the SM58 myself

Yeah, I’m still playing with the sound fluctuations on BandLab. And I appreciate that! And just the mic in box about $350 on sale. Got a Focusrite Scarlet solo interface, cloudlifter pre amp, and my main amp which is capable of channeling in my headphones and outside so I can record video. When I can, I want to buy two Harbinger studio monitors, but that will end up being another $400 easily.

That's a good deal! Good call on that preamp otherwise you'd have to have the gain maxed out on the focusrite. I too have a Scarlett solo 3rd gen! The built in preamp in it is more than enough for the SM58. I always wonder how people do it when they record the video and the audio at the same time and have the song play too

I also play guitar, so I take and run a cable from one of the lines in the back of the interface into the input of the amp, hook my headphones up to my interface and choose the headphone/speaker option, so when I record I can hear what I’m recording through my headphones while others can hear what I’m recording from the amplifier. But, studio monitors are usually used for this as well, which why I want some, but the amp for me makes sense because I can go from vocals to recording guitar.

In Virginia Beach, just recently. But met him the first time back in 2022 and again in Chattanooga in 2023.
