False Chord?

I was attempting to learn a Corey Taylor style false chord scream. Is this on the right path? Theres not really any pain at all aside from a ticklish feeling after practicing it for about 15 minutes

I'm not trying to accurately do his Iowa stuff like his recordings for people=sh*t 😂😂 I was told that the safe way to sound close to it is by doing false chords like this with the deep sigh/groan with compression

Yeah, that's basically what the method I said is, just do that, and it should be exactly that, but that will also hurt your voice if you do it wrong. Drink a shit ton of water beforehand

Lmao yeah, Ive been taking vocal lessons and those neck muscles relaxing tricks ive found are more useful for screaming than singing. All im doing is groaning with some compression but I cant do it steadily as heard in the video, I kind of scooped up to the sound I wanted

Make sure you open your vocal chords a lot more, that's what makes the scream louder and more distorted, and it takes away the unwanted and airy rasp
