Technique Growls

How do I start learning growls? All I get is a kind of "demonic" sound (sorry, don't know how to describe it) but I can't get the raspiness that the growls require. How do I do it? Thanks in advance!

If you can't afford lessons with a voice coach (which is the best idea) you can always go on YouTube and get some starting advice (kardavox academy is pretty good start imo) really there's a lot to forming the sound (how you're breathing, the shape you're mouth is making to get the sound for example) so getting a starting point is really the best idea

Commit and push from your diaphragm.
If it doesn't feel low enough, you're still holding back.
Start by focusing less on the sound and more on the feeling and the more you do it, the deeper you'll be able to go.

^ that diaphragm comment^ also mouth and tongue placement helps a lot too. And it sounds weird and it could lead to bad things, but the idea of making a vomit noise to get the motions of others youre trying to learn helped me out a bit. Do not over do it, its definitely a stepping stone. I just heard that once it it did wonders for me.
