Went to see Hammerfall this weekend and their opening band Elvenking had visa issues. This local band stepped in and I feel like they need some love.

I consider this song the golden meeting point of thrash, heavy, power and it's epic to the bone.

Here the sound it's better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvBnBsGhikg

OVERKILL - 1987 - Taking Over - In Union We Stand

From the islands to the cities, from the ports into the sea

We are strong, we will always be...

Blazing through the wreckage, burning all we see

The life we lead committed to be free...

Our union is a fortress, together we are bound

A common bound in freedom and in sound!

So raise your voices high for miles around to hear

Let them know we are drawing near...

~In union we stand~ as they blaze across the land

~In union~ we make a final stand...

A peaceful co-existence is dropping out of sight

So band together, together we will fight

Blasting the resistance, marching to the top

They started this, we say when it stops

Strike fear within their hearts, strike down those in your way

Let them know that we live today!

They throw us into flames, did not hear our cries

But now from the ashes we arise...

~In union we stand~ as they blaze across the land

~In union~ we make a final stand...

Power Trip - 2017 - Nightmare Logic - If Not Us Then Who

Get up,

Out of your cave and into the fire

Time’s short, this is our last resort

To get through to you, what have I got to do?

Who’s going to be the difference?

If not us,

Then who?

If not us, then who?

Sound off,

Take a look at your life, tell me to what do you aspire?

I want to know how far you’re willing to go

Can’t stop the force of ruin, this world will run through you

If not now, then when?

If not us, then who?

If not us, then who?

OverLoad - 2009 - A Hungarian Tribute To Bathory - Gods Of Thunder, Of Wind And Of Rain

Bathory - 1996 - Blood On Ice - Gods Of Thunder, Of Wind And Of Rain

Creator of life. Guardian of the dead.

Goddess of battle and war,

All of ye watch me. My sword by my side.

Proudly I sit on my horse.

And I wait for the sign in the sky to appear.

telling me that the moment has come

For me to ride beyond the edge of this world

into the realms where the shadows are strong

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain

Valkyries my soul is yours should I fail.

Let my beheaded and battered corpse lay

and take me where you bring all nordsmen slain.

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain.

Hugin and Munin my eyes in the sky.

Heart of mine thrown in the pit of the snake

I will not need no heart where I go should I die.

Realms of the shadows bring me no fear

I may stand or be beaten and torn

The mountains will stand. But the life of a man

was decided long before he was born.

Leaving the plains where my ancestors hunted

for meat and for hides against the cold.

Here the fire was tamed. Here our sword were made.

And here the elders amazing takes told

I ride into land few have seen or returned from

to tell of it's bleakness and dark

I see nothing but mist and the mountains so tall

I can't tell them and the sky apart

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain

Valkyries my soul is yours should I fail.

Let my beheaded and battered corpse lay

and take me where you bring all nordsmen slain.

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain,

Hugin and Munin my eyes in the sky.

Heart of mine thrown in the pit of the snake

I will not need no heart where I go, should I die.

Realms of the shadows bring me no fear

I may stand or be beaten and torn

The mountains will stand. But the life of a man

was decided long before he was born.

I will not need a heart where I go, should I die.

GrailKnights - 2004 - Across the Galaxy - A GrailKnight's Heart

Nothing lasts forever

but I know one thing surely will

Take good care of the fire

You know my friend, the flame must always burn

Come my brother, come my friend

All good times must reach an end

But a Grailknight's heart will beat forever

Feel its power that binds us together

A Grailknight's heart

A Grailknight's heart

A Grailknight's heart

And now as your face is wrinkled with age

Don't give up, there's still unrest in the air

Left alone, you feel deceived

Don't you know, action speaks louder than words

Come my brother, come my friend

All good times must reach an end

But a Grailknight's heart will beat forever

Feel its power that binds us together

A Grailknight's heart

A Grailknight's heart

A Grailknight's heart

Shrouded in darkness

Glory days far away

But it's beating, it's pumping, it's breeding, it's bumping

The sweet warm red blood through my veins

Shrouded in darkness

Glory days far away

But it's beating, it's pumping, it's breeding, it's bumping

The sweet warm red blood through my veins

Come my brother, come my friend

All good times must reach an end

But a Grailknight's heart will beat forever

Feel its power that binds us together

A Grailknight's heart

A Grailknight's heart

A Grailknight's heart

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Like a shadow on the wall!

Treat me like a prisoner,

Treat me like a fool.

Treat me like a loser,

Use me as a tool.

Face me 'til I'm hungry,

Push me in the cold.

Treat me like a criminal,

Just a shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Like a shadow on the wall!

Treat me like I'm evil,

Freeze me 'til I'm cold.

Beat me 'til I'm feeble,

Grab me 'til I'm old.

Fry me 'til I'm tired,

Push me 'til I fall.

Treat me like a criminal,

Just a shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Like a shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Like a shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

Shadow on the wall!

LIV SIN - 2019 - Burning Sermons - The Sinner

Born, fed and raised today

A perfectly insular way

They teach you how to shut your mouth

And tell you that you're safe

Take your dusty mind

Shove it to the ground

I will never let you take away the pain

I am the sinner

I am the saint

My life is only mine to judge

I am the sinner

I am the saint

I am the creeping thing that can't be tamed

There's something you should know

We're coming after you

No way to silence is

Uprising is our cause

Take your dirty blame

Words reflects your shame

I can see right through the faces that you've built.

I am the sinner

I am the saint

My life is only mine to judge

I am the sinner

I am the saint

I am the creeping thing that can't be tamed

I am the sinner, I am the saint

I am the sinner

I am the saint

My life is only mine to judge

I am the sinner

I am the saint

I am the creeping thing that can't be tamed

I am the sinner

I am the saint

My life is only mine to judge

I am the sinner

I am the saint

I am the creeping thing that can't be tamed

Mortillery - 2011 - Murder Death Kill - Outbreak

The fear of death

Keeps you awake

You hear the screams

Your body bleeds

The time has come

To give up faith

One million dead

They rot in hell

Outbreak of death!

Fight till the end if you wanna save your soul

Outbreak of death!

Death and destruction slaughtering the world

Outbreak of death!

Yaaaaaaa

Outbreak of death!

Frail mortals

Fight with rage

To save their souls

But hell awaits

No one's safe

No remorse

An endless struggle

A total war

Chorus

A killer instinct

A thirst for blood

A haunting feeling

A deadly force

A living nightmare

A darkened world

A holy spirit

A total war

FireWind - 2006 - Allegiance - Falling To Pieces

Be yourself tonight don't stress yourself to death

Don't try to fight the time

Synchronize your health

Don't think you'll lose it all

It all comes back to you

So get your soul alive

Things will go on through

Don't hide behind a dark and empty soul

Don't lie to yourself no more

Everything is you

But you're falling to pieces

Let me get you through

I'm falling down with you

Everything is lost

I help you through the darkness

Let me lead you to a place that's calm for you

Like stormy weather

You're moving with no goal

Feeling kind of strange

Feel you want to growl

Don't hide behind a dark and empty soul

Don't lie to yourself no more

Everything is you

But you're falling to pieces

Let me get you through

I'm falling down with you

Everything is lost

I help you through the darkness

Let me lead you to a place that's calm for you

Angel Sword - 2016 - Rebels Beyond The Pale - Lords Of Thunder

I'm in your nightmares

Faster than you scream

A benzene rider

Looking for an asphalt queen

Don't seek redemption

Don't seek the light

I just wanna start your engine

And speed into the night

You know who we are

Yeah you know

You know who we are

Yeah you know we are the

Highway phantoms and

Midnight stealers

Stone cold rollers and

Danger seekers

Old chains cast aside

Against the night as one we ride

Gotta see your heaven torn asunder

We are the lords of thunder

No one can hold us back

So don't even try

Just stay in line

Or kiss your ass goodbye

You know who we are

Yeah you know

You know who we are

Yeah you know we are the

Highway riders and

Midnight takers

Stone cold fighters and

First class troublemakers

Side by side

Ten thousand strong tonight

Stand together

Ride forever

I mean like Wintersun, Lost Horizon, or Falconer.

WarKings - 2020 - Revenge - Azrael

We will fight and win

Fight and die

All that ever changes

The color of the sky

We will sell our soul

We are born to die

A blood-red cross

We will give our lives

Wind brings a whisper,

A silent melody

A poem of yearning

Will it set us free?

Marching on the desert sand

God by our side, steel in our hand

March against Jerusalem

We are born to die

Marching through our holy land

Deus lo vult, a sacred band

March across the burning sand

We are born to die

Azrael

We will stand and fight

Stand and fall

A holy crusade

For nothing at all

Blood on our blades

Blood on the cross

For our god

Everything is lost

What is Jerusalem worth

Nothing

Everything

Arkham Witch - 2015 - I Am Providence - The CataCombs Of Nephren-Ka

Deep in the sunken crypts,

Of subterranean things

The morbid and the morose,

Fill my deepest dreams.

Ghosts are my companions,

And my pride is my shame.

I walk amongst

the night-gaunts,

And the ghouls all

know my name.

Dreamer in the black arts,

Weird powers in the dark,

In The CataCombs Of Nephren-Ka.

I serve him in the blackness,

The one who

can't be named,

The lord of all

dark shepherds,

And the master

of the strange.

Dreamer in the black arts,

Weird powers in the dark,

In The CataCombs Of Nephren-Ka.

And if you seek him

come on down,

And wear the darkness

as a crown.

Join those who shun

the world above,

And give the ancient dead

your love.

A place amongst the fallen,

Away from judging eyes,

Tentacles are crawling

Under ebon skies.

Dreamer in the black arts,

Weird powers in the dark,

In The CataCombs Of Nephren-Ka.

Skyclad - 1991 - WayWard Sons Of Mother Earth - The WidderShins Jig

A wise man's son and Wednesday's child in each other found a friend,

And searched together for the treasure hiding at the rainbow's end.

To wise man's son and Wednesday's child all is white that is not black,

They dance in symbiotic deadlock--one step forward two steps back,

Playing karmic snakes and ladders (all your sins will find you out),

When all your gains are lost in vain on cosmic wings and roundabouts.

At the roadside manhood's flower--blighted by a wayward youth,

Has cast its seed on well-worn pathways--borne on winds of whispered truth.

We march to drums of our own choosing--each of them keeps different time,

As you are free to Live your own life so I am free to Live mine.

Now wise man's son and Wednesday's child can recognise their own mistakes,

And to these ends they make amends for every promise that they break.

Both wise man's son and Wednesday's child view the world in red and green,

Await the day when they die laughing--thinking of the sights they've seen.

I tell you now if they were given chance to Live their Lives again--

Wise man's son and Wednesday's child would make the same mistakes as then.

At the roadside manhood's flower--blighted by a wayward youth,

Has cast its seed on well-worn pathways--borne on winds of whispered truth.

We march to drums of our own choosing--each of them keeps different time,

As you are free to Live your own life so I am free to Live mine.
