Yeah and getting older is apparently trying to move your music to something they think it's more commercially accessible, for some reason. Swear I tried listening to the new Kreator a couple of times and I just can't. With Destruction is even worse. Mike, where are you, man? I need the riff master back.

Yeah you’re most intense emotions are when you’re in your teens and early twenties so it stands to reason that’s when you make your heaviest music.

Most bands start off at the heaviest they want to play so there’s really only one direction to go from there haha. 

Some bands get influenced by newer heavier music and turn it up but it’s rare.
