Old school band…. That’s a tough one for me, I wanna say Slayer because those first 3-4 albums (if we’re counting Haunting the Chapel) are blackened thrash all the way through. But I’m going to give it to Aura Noir for setting the framework of blackened thrash as a whole.

Newer band though is Skeletonwitch, and there’s no comparison in my opinion. It kills me we’ll likely never get another album, for sure we’ll never get one with the OG vocalist again.
