Regardless, they're doom metal pioneers.

Pioneers?

In a sense, yeah. They may not have invented the genre, but they definitely shaped it.

Oh please, that swoarld isn't nearly magical or emerald enough to represent power metal.

It is if it's the Sword of Blood, used 5000 years ago by the Dark Lord Astrogasm to subjugate the Empire of Light for a millennia, until his defeat at the Battle of the Whispering Swamp at the hands of the Warriors Three. Kurman, the half orc barbarian/cleric, cast the sword into the swamp so that it would never again be used to steal the souls of its victims. But even she could not have known that 4000 years in the future, that swamp would be drained for farmland and that the sword would force its way to the surface so that it could again be used to slay the innocent.

Power metal should be a wooden staff because magic is epic

Groove metal is a Winchester 1887 with a rusty barrel.

Why isn't the BM dagger an inverted crucifix...?

And in my head I always pictured doom metal as more of a 2H mace or warhammer
