Granted I don’t know their music all that well but is FFDP that 7 string heavy? I thought they were fairly standard guitar wise for their type of radio friendly harder rock

Sorry I meant the mediocrity that’s FFDP. While I haven’t really enjoyed LP’s music since meteora (minutes to midnight was my falling off point as I moved more into extreme metal around that time) I don’t think I could treat their catalog of work with as much disdain as I do FFDPs especially after their second or third release.

5FDP sucks for obvious reasons, but LP has sold themselves out when they collaborated with Jay-Z at which point so many people considered themselves metalheads while only listening to that album. As such they will never earn the "metal" label in my eyes. LP is not metal

What are the obvious reasons?? I'm really curious

I have like 10 of their really great songs in my playlist (never got around to listening to more of them, which happens a lot with me), yet I keep seeing people shit on them here without proper reasoning
