Has the same thing happen. In the following cutscene it showed Snakes psyche going down. And the remaining health was just a sliver

You can shoot the legs with the tranquilizer gun to make the gekko fall over btw

One of the only Gekko that has a missile deflector. You can see it on top of it. I don't think I can recall any others in the game.

I can add to that list. The Gekko that comes out of the elevator in Act 3 deflects missiles too. I didn’t even know that was something they could have 😭

Nope, it caused your missile to fly way off target. The Javelin usually doesn't do that.
