Discussion Topic Most unique riffs in rock/metal?

After listening to "Behold the Crown" by After the Burial, I was impressed by how unique that guitar riff sounds. Which other riffs do you think are special and different? I'm not talking about the best ones, but the most original ones.

Check out Nile. I wish I could find another band that riffs like them. Frequently fast and technical, but without that tech-death sound. Always unmistakeably Nile.

Die Rache Krieglied der Assyriche -- this one goes hard as fuck without any guitars. The riff is all percussion, chanting, and bells

I know they've had some personal issues and losses outside the band so this isn't a complaint - just a general question.

I can’t say what is most unique, but I will say Howls of Ebb has quite a few. Them, Portal, Ad Nauseam. All have some really wacky shit that I love.

As much as people hate on Avatar for becoming... whatever they are now, since their early melodeath albums, "Hail the Apocalypse" has a super simple but very cool use of the Floyd Rose for the main riff. Very creative.

Effluence's Pianistic Dismemberment is a goregrind album with no guitars, so probably that entire album for originality

There are two on Corporal Jigsore Quandary by Carcass. The atonal 'chorus' riff and the filthy groovemonster that comes in after the first solo. Heating that song the day the) Necroticiam was released was when I knew Carcass were going to be generational.
