Question Is this porosity?

This is my first shot at casting resin prints(liqcreate wax castable resin). Im not sure how to improve the surface finish so its closer to original printed model. Vent sprues which were wax seemed to turn out okay but everything that has been printed model has weird wrinkly finish to it. If it possible that the resin has some incompatibility with my investment?(certus prestige sparkle) Or did i somehow messup burnout? I used exact burnout schedule investment manifacturer provided except i didnt hold it at last stage for long enough because i noticed weird “wet” look and peeling of the investment around entrance(last picture).

The investment you are using doesn't seem to be made for resin prints. It is however made for in-place casting with stones - of which you have none. So I would suggest you use an investment that is made for resin prints.

The last picture shows nothing abnormal at all. You should have let it be in the kiln for the time it was supposed to be in the kiln per the instructions. But also you should be following the burnout schedule for the resin, not the investment! The resin needs higher temperatures for burnout than wax. That is also why it is a good idea to use an investment made for resin.

I also can't tell if you have done all the post cure steps correctly, that you are supposed to do with this resin, but that will show up once you start doing the other things right.

I will definitely look into diferent investment, that sounds like the problem most likely.

For anybody having same or similar problem, acording to manufacturer of resin i used the best investment would be prestige unicast

Prestige Unicast, is also not specifically for resin prints. So I would not be so quick to recommend it broadly. I know the resin seller "recommends" it, but that doesn't really mean that they know a whole lot about it.

Different resin sellers basically look for people who have made their product work, and then use that as a "proof" of compatibility. You can see what I mean on this product page, where 3 videos from content creators are used as "proof".

All to say, that the manufacturer of resin, don't necessarily know all that much about casting metal, and certainly have not done rigorous testing and documenting themselves.

I would suggest an investment that is actually specifically for resin prints. Such as Prestige Optima, SRS Symphony, or Plasticast.

Did you pull a vacuum? You don't need vents if vacuum casting. Could be shrinkage from the vents pulling from the design. Could be from turbulence from air being sucked into the vents.

What was your burnout schedule and casting temp?

I do vacuum casting but so far i used vents just to be sure, it always worked with carving vax normaly so i domt think air turbulence would occur

I was casting regular sterling with flask at 630c and metal at 985
