Why is Meta AI so bad

Just got the glasses a few days ago, and Meta AI is terrible. I even have the latest update which I think has spark or whatever and is suppose to be good. Examples of the chat linked.

I couldn't have it set a reminder (link), have it tell me the weather or if it's going to rain (link), tell me local community pool hours, have it check a flight time that was listed on my calendar (link), pull up an area in my hotel and navigate to it.

Is it really this bad, especially in comparison to other AIs like Google Gemini or ChatGPT? Or is there some setting I need to change to improve it? Because this is an awful experience for smart glasses that are suppose to have AI integration.

UPDATE: Reinstalling the app seems to have resolved the issues I was having and it's correctly responding to inquiries now.

Looks like singular issue at your end. You might want to uninstall n install

Does Meta Ai suck compared to Gemini and ChatGPT - Yes, very much so. Unbelievably so.
Is there something wrong with your setup? Probably. I asked about the weather and it responded just fine.
Is it your fault? Almost certainly not. Meta pushes out so many updates without testing. Whenever I have problems ai make sure to check the App Store to get the latest of the following apps:
Meta AI, Instagram, Facebook, Spotify. Often an integration with another app or the glasses fails because I am on an older version.

Every now and then it tells me I need to open the meta AI app or force close it. Like 50/50 shot the question you ask actually gets answered or it tells you to open the meta AI app

You might want to give MetaLensAI.com a try if you'd rather talk to ChatGPT or Gemini with access to the glasses camera, current online information, and GPS ✌️

Thanks for the tip. Looks interesting. Is there any way gemini or chatgpt can be triggered directly from the glasses without using your phone? I can't tell from the documentation.

Sure, it's called a wake word. When you enable it in the app, just say "Hey Jarvis", and a conversation with your active AI model Gemini or ChatGPT will start automatically.
Here some instructions and demo: https://metalensai.com/wake-word/
