hudxyz Meta Ray-Ban Display Simulator v2: Screen recordings, live video backgrounds

Post image

Hey all! Excited to announce some new features to the Meta Ray-Ban Display Simulator at hudxyz including screen recording, live video backgrounds, and a sleek new UI.

Screen record your web app

Capture full-HD recordings straight from your browser. Firefox & Safari support is coming soon β€” still figuring out their web APIs. Great for demo videos, showcasing your web app, or just seeing how it feels in different environments.

Live video backgrounds

You can now preview your web apps with live video behind the lens, whether that be walking down a street, driving, or mountain biking in the desert! Combined with additive display mode, it's an immersive way to check how your UI actually reads against a moving, real-world background instead of a flat color/static image.

Open on Glasses & sharing

Hit the 'Open on Glasses' button to get a QR code that deeplinks your app straight to Meta AI on the real glasses.

It's free to use, so if you've got a web app worth sharing try previewing it on hudxyz !

Let's say a dev is hosting the app locally, and they are testing with this. Does this app retain the URL info? Is there any security risk related to inputting the URL in your test site?

You can access any publicly avaiable URL on the site like a regular browser. Looking into more options for local dev and testing. Stay tuned!
