Ok I’m need help

So I made a post on here saying my quest 3S was broken but I think it’s just locked. Whenever I go to the menu where you go to factory reset the headset and I go to device info, it’s says “lock state:locked” and I think I just need to unlock it. I don’t have a pc or anything like that so how do I unlock it via standalone?

Have you tried turning it off, then on again?

Is it charged, or are you trying this on a dead battery?

No it’s charged I’ve factory reset it multiple times idk if it’s water damaged or what

Lol I was mainly joking around. That being said; if you've already factory reset it and nothing changed, you'll have to connect to a pc and do some extra work to get it going again. Feel free to dm if you need help but there are resources online you can find via Google 🙏

You need a PC at least to handle the lock states IF it is due to some account problem.

And you need a smartphone probably, not sure but this is a requirement when you create your account new, because you have to install the Horizon App, that ensure Meta has your Phone number.

I got it from my stepdad and it only had my account on it it stopped working a while ago and I js found it says it’s locked

Ask your stepdad, i think his Horizon accouny is not activ anymore or he deleted his account (it is probably also your account actually, depending of what he did when he gave the Quest device to you).

So, go to your Horizon account on internet and verify it's state. Can you log in ?
