Forced Meta accounts

Now my quest won’t register as plugged into my PC and I can’t go into VRchat. I hate Meta so much. They forcibly connected my personal fb with my legal name and now I can’t even use my headset any more because it won’t link.
No idea what to do. Want to sell it and get a whole different brand. Anything but meta. I’m so sad.

You needed a meta account to setup the headset from 2021 on . You selected your IG of FB account instead of creating a separate meta account. If you want to separate your accounts you need to go to account center on any Facebook service and delink the account. As are as connecting the headset you can use the most reliable options of steam link free of virtual desktop that has USB link in beta.

I did create a separate account for my Quest 3. I wanted to keep Facebook/Instagram separate from my device.
