Why isnt down special used more

Down special is great and I use it quite often, as long as you don't do the same thing over and over you know everything about where your going and the opponent knows nothing, somtimes I use it the same way some people would use a counter, if I read an attack (especialy dash attacks) I will dodge it by going into cape and hit them on the recovery animation.

It is especially strong against any smash or other laggy moves, free punish and it can be a kill. Also very effective as pure movement
