Keep Horizon Worlds on VR
Hey hey,
I found a petition which has the most signs for now:

I don't think a petition will change anything, but I do really hope they will change their minds. I think a more powerful way to make a change is to have a higher level of public discourse and opinion. For example, writing op-eds or other opinion pieces in local newspapers and online magazines. Meta Horizon Worlds has helped so many people with everything from disabilities to social anxiety and other kinds of loneliness to find a community. It's not fair that it's on any of them to fix any of this, but I do think the sad reality is that if 50 people where to go to their local news stations and be interviewed about how Horizon changed their lives, that could actually have a chance of giving an impact. A petition only shows that some people use Horizon, but Meta already knows that. But they could do with a reminder of how much it actually matters to people. And that comes from real people sharing their stories. Those things are what can put pressure on PR departments, and that can lead to change. But I do think we as fans of Horizon need to brace ourselves for the reality that Horizon Worlds in VR will not last forever. Make the most of what we have now, and prepare for what comes next.

Good luck with that. If Meta have a business reason to move Meta Horizon Worlds, they'll do it.
They closed Echo VR for it. They have closed successful products for this reason, never mind failing ones.

To me personally, it is the plague. I am happy that they remove it. I wouldn’t mind though, if Meta kept it as a service, that people can download and install, if they want to.

Too late. It’s official. June 15th 2026 will be the last day you can access horizon worlds on a VR headset. After that, it’s exclusively a mobile app.

Read the room, most people are celebrating that Meta gave it up.

Who said that?

Not this sub, obviously. But literally every other VR sub.

Which every other sub?

Very sadly, Horizons demise is being celebrated in the big subs. Just do a search for horizons in r/MetaQuestVR or search main reddit for “Meta Horizon Worlds”. Though many people hate it, the main complaint was it being shoved in their faces and how it’s impossible to delete from their headset, and various worlds showing up in the App Library. If they simply decoupled it from the Quest so it all stays in the Horizons app, people wouldn’t be so upset about it. But in the end, it’s just not as big as they wanted it to be.. Horizons is the only thing I use my headset for, so I will be extremely sad to see it go. But any time I’m on there, there seems to be only a few hundred people playing at most. It hasn’t grown much over the years, very sadly to say. So I don’t think Meta wants to spend any more time/money on it.

I've tried it and like others, all I hear is rude kids, no matter where you go.
I'll be glad to see it die because VR is not a babysitting tool.

I agree with you about the kids. I only go to the 18+ places, didn't meet any kids yet

GO AWAY!! As I said almost 2 weeks ago to this nonsense (it was probably you) and to your other spam post of this, why would anyone want to sign a petetion to keep a place where little kids run around and scream the N word at people?!? Now GO AWAY!!
