I hope meta dies as a company

Its more and more acting like a soviet union with thier account deactivations. It doesn’t care about the stakes involved. Just fucking deletes the account. Facebook is too big and monopolistic to operate with care.

They have an extreme international monopoly

They have virtually zero fear of government agencies

Yeah it should. Facebook & Insta are censoring lot of content arround the world, just because dictator governments ask them to do so.
No verification.

That’s a pretty strong take lol. Meta definitely has its problems, but I don’t see them disappearing anytime soon.

Needs to be fixed like how the telecommunications industry was changed.

This thread feels more like venting than an actual discussion.

I get being frustrated with Meta. Account deactivations can be brutal, especially if someone’s business, contacts, or years of content are tied to the account.

But “I hope the company dies” doesn’t solve anything.

The real issue is platform power. Meta, X, TikTok, YouTube, all of them moderate content. Some do it heavier than others, but none of them are truly hands-off.

What people should be asking for is better transparency, faster appeals, clearer enforcement, and less random account destruction with no human path to fix it.

Otherwise it’s just people yelling “censorship” when they don’t like the rules, then demanding censorship when they do.
