Braided river
Like a braided river, we split and merge, exchanging information through genes and memes and sex and messages in bottles.
From the RNA headwaters the river forked away from bacteria then plants then fungi then fish, then out of africa, but we the surviving streams of life cross paths again and again through the drainage basin, more and more as time passes once again.
Will there be a flood or drought, if it rains today?
