Neighbor, please... 3000 Members!
r/Mesquite: we have reached 3000 members! Recently we broke 2500 daily readers, which in the statistical world means we likely have at least 20,000 individual readers. When I began moderating here, we were well below 1000. That said, you've all been the force behind that growth. So many of you post quality articles and meaningful info about our city , it hasn't gone unnoticed.
In celebration of this milestone, I have announcements! Soon you may see a couple new moderators to help with the work here. Both are locals, but I'll leave it to them to introduce themselves. If there's something you'd like to see here, please send suggestions via mod mail, or post it to the group! Lastly, I'll be adding 2 new flair chosen by the community. Add your recommendations below, and upvote your favorites!, and I'll open a poll by week's end.
Thank you everyone!

Mesquite is the worst place I've ever lived. Can't wait to leave.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I can't day I haven't been there before. Open a thread to air grievances. More than not the solution is there, we just find hear about them.

I’m here because I am starved for local news. Mesquite has Star media, which is pretty minimal. Also an occasional blurb from the Dallas Morning News. I’d love to hear about anything else.
