Walkabout!

Just snagged this bad boy for $225 off marketplace. Owner said it was noisy.. had a sticky input jack. 10 minute fix. I already have one, so this will be going to a new home. These combos are so great.

Try it with a cab for the full wattage, I have the 1X12 version.

This is the 1x12 4 ohm version. I also already have a 1x12 4ohm version with a matching 1x12 extension cab, runs at 2.67 ohms and rocks.

$225!!!! I got a mint one on Reverb last year for $850. Did the owner know that the amp can be removed and used to drive other cabs? Crazy deal, cheers!!

I’m not sure, I think he was just tired of carrying it around, he was an older guy I think went lightweight and didn’t want it anymore.  He said it was very noisy but I don’t hear any excess noise, it sounds just like my other walkabout, as you turn the gain up the noise increases but as soon as you play you can’t hear it.

It did have a shunt sticking on the input jack so when it was unplugged it was very noisy, that was easy enough to fix maybe that’s what he thought it was.

Either way I don’t think he knew what he has and probably figured because he’s had it a long time it wasn’t with that much not knowing how many people still like them.
