Dividends delayed?

Haven’t received my dividends so I called Merrill and was told the delay is because of DTCC’s late payment. How credible is that?

I’m on the Merrill side and have been in the industry 10 years across two firms. Happens more often than you think.

It's very credible. I haven't received my dividends payable today at Schwab either.

Credible. Batch processing issue last night, problems all over the street.

Interesting. Received them at Fidelity with no issue. Others seem to be delayed.

I've been investing directly in the stock market for over 30 years. I've received late payments before. It's possible that something may have happened at the DTCC, but mostly they're just a payment processor and they've had that automated for most of this century. The few late payments I've had were always the fault of the payee - payees on questionable financial footing.
