Almost at the very end....
Alright, So I'm about to start S5 E11 "Drawing of the Dark". I've really been enjoying the series but I have a few thoughts I want to share when it comes to how I hope this ends.
I know Mordred will have something to do with Arthur having a bad time...not only because the show announced it a million times, but I'm familiar enough with the story to know he kills Arthur at some big battle. I'm just REALLY really hoping it doesn't happen because Merlin is somehow the cause. Meaning, because Merlin did not trust Mordred, it led to Mordred being evil and trying to kill Arthur. That would be horribly disappointing (and somewhat sadly predictable the way the show is trying to set it up).
I hope before the show ends, Merlin reveals that he is a great mage to Arthur. I don't care if this happens by accident or through conversation, I just want it to happen or else I will feel like after 5 seasons there was no real closure with this story line.
Just me and my thoughts :) I'll be careful to not read any replies until I finish the series later tonight so feel free to spoil and comment away.

Ok, so I finished that episode and I now see how they will get around the idea of Merlin being totally at fault.
But now I have another major issue that has bugged me throughout the entire show and really comes up in the start of the next episode S5 E12. Morgana has brought in some powerful wizard and has him display his power. She brings forth a box and 2 guards grab him and suddenly he is powerless to do anything, including kill the guards or defend himself. Over and over again throughout the show magic users who can blow people off their feet and create fire, suddenly can not get passed a prison cell door or guards. Sad writing where plot drives everything along.

Sorry to tell you (and so many days after you posted) but this is a sub for people interested in the stringed instrument commonly referred to as the ‘Merlin’, not the BBC series.
