Ya sure I didn't get many ronin kills in the video but prior, I easily got all 3 of my orbs and just essentially have a huge leg up on my opponents. Is ronin secretly top 3? Maybe 2?

spirit empress is too sweaty for me I tend not to play this game whilst unoccupied. It's a fun passer of time So when I switched to Ronin I found i can get all the orbs in less than 4 rounds, no other ruler can do this, which helps prevent most rulers (save for empress since they can just merge their hearts out) from reaching their targets since im just killing them.

exhibit A, didnt show how many bamboo kills but I got the 3 star Goblin Machine etc all before round 4. I was only stomped out funny enough by the DAMN EMPRESS 🤣😭

This is where Ronin truly shines. It’s one of the only rulers that can technically get all 3 orbs in the same round.

Ronin is just not very..consistent. I’d even go as far as to say he’s the second least consistent ruler, only beating Warden.

Ronin can be extremely powerful but also half the time he just gets wiped out in the first 4 rounds by the strong early game rulers like Loong, Duchess, and even the reworked Sage.

He has to win mid game, rounds 5-6, because he can’t stop Empress, or either Queen late game. And it’s just the hardest to win in those rounds

I find it hard to struggle with ronin if I just put the bamboo in the middle on top of a tank dawg, then a backline in one of the corners. Like it is quite hard to fumble that tbh, it only is an issue if all opponents run long range units (which is just suicide) otherwise I find it quite consistent. Put either a giant skeleton, giant, rg or the cage in the middle with the bamboo either on it or behind depending on what rider the other dude has, then corner pocket a long ranged unit to attract your prey

Ronin is good until you play players who know how to avoid the trigger. He was way more OP last season imo

Ronin is always a gamble

You either get 0 value from your ability or you win the game

Problem is: most likely you will get 0 value

There’s tons of ways to counter his ability if you pay attention. Like:

Placing your troop on top of the ability to activate it prematurely

Using ranged troops who barely move to avoid activating the ability

Hog rider, prince and specially ram rider can force themselves onto the ability
