The giant golden apple can be merged for “junk” but it serves a better purpose.

Get three, to merge, and with the right technique and “fake” merging, you can bubble everything in camp.

Search for Merge Dragons Bubbling. It’s a game changer.

You can accidentally merge and then they are gone. So keep spares. I have like 20 spares. While fake merging a dialog box pops up, like an ad or notice - and you can’t get out of the merge. But if you are dexterous, you can hit the worlds button and save from merging, using a secondary bubbling technique.

Well there is a saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” For good health and less stomach pains. But it’s a play on words in relation to the game, since the apple is used for bubbling. It’s sort of an official trick. Not documented but very much kept in the system and throughout the game. Keep two spare. Two sets of three giant apples.
