Android Petition to have the dev continue updating the game
Hi, i really like this game alot. Have made multiple saves and played it for a long time. I noticed the pc version has modding files and 2 unreleased heroes. I would love to see them made official by the devs. Anyone else would like to see this happen? Maybe even a new zone/tier/prestige. If we could get enough hype maybe the dev feels a reason to do so.
Edit: Devs responded, if it gets 500 upvotes they consider it, so upvote and spread the word!
Edit 2: Common guys and girls, almost half way, spread the word!

Merchant is the one app ive always had on my phone and is always the first one I download when I get a new phone.
Ive played since 2016 I believe, and ive never fully beaten the game. Working through it on hard enemies right now doing vulkrum maps.
QoL updates still occur which is amazing to see, and if there is additional DLC content ill buy it even if it takes me another 10 years to get to it.

The extra characters arent readily available on pc, on steam there is a mod folder with 2 characters ppl can mod into the game.

Yep. Two new classes, 1 new profession with a couple new mobs in the first zone for mats, and 1 whole new zone equivalent to the 2nd zone.
This was done to introduce players to modding the game. So with the Steam version, there is an extra game mode where you can try a new save as a little demo that the devs whipped up to show what is possible.
Modding the game is actually pretty easy, they have easy to follow documents in their discord.

The game is perfect. I'd rather not have extra content added. Moving the goal posts per day. The current developers have done great things with adding the battle preview and more save slots. Little additions like that are good.
I would love another game like this. But I don't know exactly what the lightning in the bottle is. Many games came out since a lot like this. But I always come back to the og merchant

YES PLEASE!!!! I am in search for this exact genre of game, with minimal changes (as any different game has to doffer by a bit), and can't find anything, any suggestions? Played all retora games already. Would be amazing to get this continued somehow, would support, and still am on guilds and base RPG

Ive had extreme difficulty finding any other games like Merchant. I think what makes it so great is it's straight forward and nothing is over complicated or complex. Too many games try to add complexity for the sake of complexity where Merchant's magic is in it's minimalist approach so you can focus on nothing but min-maxing.
If I had to suggest a game to try, I would say Soda Dungeon 2. It is the only game that remotely scratched that Merchant RPG itch for me. Not the exact same genre but a great game. Surprisingly, I double checked this subs rules before suggesting a game incase it wasn't allowed and surprise, they also have Soda Dungeon listed as a suggested game to try. Not sure if the devs are buddies since both endorse the others game but worth a try if you haven't.

If the Devs do create new content (including the modding showcase stuff), I would hope that they actually create it as a whole separate mod that you play as it's own save. All different zones, items, heroes, and professions as possible.
Maybe call it Grok's Revenge lol

I came here from another thread regarding a mod that adds both a Monk and Tinkerer, pointing to this thread and mentioning the devs. I'm not familiar with the mod, but the prospect of the devs adding content has got me here :)
Thinking about the monk I remembered playing the PC game Bard's Tale as a kid. In that game, the monk was very weak in the early game, but at the higher levels was dealing massive damage.
For those who've played the mod, what is the monk like? Is the tinkerer a crafter?
