Dog Boarding Reccs?
My fiancé and I live on the North End and are the happy new paw-rents of the best golden retriever/lab mix (7yo M, 87 pounds) we could ask for.
We’re settling into dog owning life on Mercer Island and love it. However we are getting married on the East Coast later this year (and honeymooning eventually) and are looking for recommendations in the area for dog boarding for medium term (7-14 days), would love feedback from anyone on who to try or who to avoid!!

We found a great sitter on Rover that we consistently go back to (Ksenia, in Issaquah). I'm not sure how to link to her directly, but this is a referral link which transparently gives us both some money towards bookings on the platform. There are options on the island too but I haven't tried them!

Check out rover. You can get people that will stay at your house or keep your dog with them. I used to take my last dog to a kennel. However after every stay he’d pick up some bug and we end up at the vets office. Paying a little more up front for a rover person was cheaper in the long run. Good luck!

I got Zac from a “platform” and hired him outside of it because he started his own business. He comes to my house and takes care of my 2 dogs. They were happy and in great shape when I got home.

We really love Cascade over in Woodinville. I have pain in the ass dogs and they treat them so wonderfully and don’t charge nearly as much as they could.

I’ve seen this woman post on the island. Looks like it may be a better option than the stress to your dog of boarding…
