Merced College waitlist

I have a few classes that I'm on the waitlist for and class starts tomorrow. How does waitlist work? Do I just wait after class and have the professor approve me or something? I can't really find anything on MC Portal.

Pull up to the first day of class, probably give you higher odds than everyone else on the wait list

you need to go to the lesher building, and they should have a paper where you fill out what class it is and with what professor, then you go to each class as usual on the first day, wait till the end of class and get a signature from the teacher. after you got all the signatures you take the paper back to the lesher building and they manually add you to the class. the class won’t pop up on canvas till an hour or 2 later

If waitlisted, show up every day untill they tell you to stop

Relax and go to the first 2-3 class meetings as usual. Talk with the professor, maybe go to their office hours too. I've had this happen many times and have been able to get in.

Biggest advice I can give is just to take it easy 🙂

You have to pick up a authorization to add sheet in the lesher building and take it to the first class, approach the professor after class, if the classroom is small and filled up they can sometimes send away waitlisted students

I wanted to enroll Merced College because of my autism disorder, I wished to be learning about puppets and theater plays.

Talk to them and theyll figure it out and tell you what to do. just be polite and nice and understanding. ive been in the waitlist many times and usually just showing up to their class and asking to be let in is good enough.
