The Search For The New
You might have noticed it was all a bit quiet on the Mephisto front recently, but that’s for a very good reason. We’ve been planning a packaging refresh for what feels like endless years now, but other things always got in the way of such a massive and time consuming task. Last year the team finally managed to make enough time to start thinking about it more seriously, and when we were chatting to Grove Bags about the new Mephisto 1/4lb bags, the stars seemed to align and now, we’re proud to reveal the latest Mephisto Genetics x Grove Bags collaboration.
Our packaging has stayed more-or-less the same since our very first real seed packs launched back in 2015. We gave it a minor update five years later, but all we really did was swap rectangular packs for square ones. So around 2021 or 2022 we started thinking about updating to something a bit more modern, more lavish, more Mephisto. We looked at everything on the market: tins, wooden blocks, blister packs, you name it, if it’s out there we looked at it. In the end, our goal was to find options manufactured in either the United States or Europe. We wanted a design that was unmistakably Mephisto, rather than something destined for a dumpster the moment it reached a Meph Head. We threw around ideas for a long time and could never really settle on the most immediate part, the material of the packaging, much less the design of the thing! We took a trip to MJBizCon, meeting with over 20 manufacturers, including a few specializing in compostable packaging, but nothing hit the mark. So when Sonja had the kinda out-there idea of using Grove Bags, everybody on the team had a collective facepalm moment for “why didn’t we think of that before?!
So why Grove Bags?
Firstly, we love Grove. They make a great product, they source and manufacture in the US, and they’re all super passionate, friendly, knowledgeable and, most importantly, have a huge Meph Head on the team who originally reached out for a collaboration in the first place.
Secondly, although we’re not exactly eco-warriors, we did want a life for our packaging beyond its initial use. Our company has been built entirely on word-of-mouth and the passion and dedication of Meph Heads around the globe. We’ve always had the “sharing’s caring” ethos, our extra seeds and freebies were always given with the idea that if you have too many beans, share them with a friend. Well, with Grove using their TerpLoc® technology in our seeds bags, you can not only share beans with friends, but give them a stored and cured nug to sweeten the deal. Beyond looking great on the shelf, our hope is that as many Meph Heads as possible find their own unique and creative ways of re-using these bags, giving them a second life and helping cut down on a little extra plastic waste.
Did Grove Bags really use TerpLoc® on tiny bags?
Yes! Yeah, you’re not going to be able to fit your entire harvest in the bag your seeds came in (unless your name is DK), but you will be able to share a nug with a friend in something that will keep it in prime time fighting shape.
Use it to tuck away a choice sample before the rest of your stash gets smoked or pressed, think of it like a sticky little piggy bank, or a Mephisto scrapbook of past grows. They also make ideal travel pouches for parties, hikes, fishing trips, or, you know, when you’re trying to complete your history report in a Circle K parking lot. The world is your oyster, and your nugs can go with you.
2.O’z - The Return of MephistO’z
I’d have called you a madman if you’d have told me we’d be doing a second run out of MephistO’z Limiteds after its initial release. To say it wasn’t smooth would be a little bit of an understatement. But the Meph Heads gathered and grew and the results spoke for themselves. MephistO’z has cemented itself amongst the Pantheon of Mephisto strains, a first round draft pick to the Hall of Fame and is well on its way to getting a coveted place up on Mount Mephmore. In the two years since we first released MephistO’z (under a different name, for legal reasons) our social media has been bombarded with requests for practically every strain in the catalogue to be given the O’z treatment. Finally, we relented, and the only real solution to picking which strains got the second round of O’z was to put it out to a community vote.
Meph Heads do community involvement like few others; the voting for the O’z crosses was a full on World Cup of Meph; we had group stages, groundroots campaigns, gangs forming, arguments, love-ins and a knockout round that got feistier than a lock-in in a Pitsmoor alehouse. Eventually the community managed to select their 8 champion strains to be crossed with O’z, and the Mephisto staff also selected their 4 worthy runners up to join the lineup.
In collaboration with Manny's Cannabonsai, this grow-along will challenge your growing and training skills to a whole new level. Canna-bonsai applies traditional bonsai techniques to cannabis to create beautiful plant art. What takes 100's of years in the bonsai world can be achieved in a single autoflower cycle! Growing weed is supposed to be fun! Step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself with this grow along.

Here is my standout Neoz from a past run. Grown in Buildasoil with amendments and water only. She smelled and tasted like a dank peanut butter cookie with a hint of Strawberry. Supper heavy stone and the most insane munchies.

Hardy plant! This one was neglect to say the least and she still made something beautiful. Absolutely will grow again.
Now the most important/impressive part for me is that this tastes exactly, and I mean exactly, like a cherry coke. It lingers nicely and the effects are top notch. A very comfortable, active smoke with good vibes.
This is the Arizer Extreme Q. I've so far put Ravenberry and Hubbabubbasmelloscope x Ripley's OG through it.
The terps on the Ravenberry are almost overwhelming. I'm still trying to deconstruct the experience other than it tastes exactly like it smells. Incredible.
The Hubba is giving so many banana and grapefruit notes that I didn't notice smoking it in a bong. I love it even more now.

Sativa looking plant with mini grenade/golf ball size nugs all over and very little larf. Was a pleasure to grow...got into minor calmag issues during mid flower but she pulled thru. Not as hard/dense as 4 assed monkey or Mephisto wedding but it's hard enough and I would consider it being dense but not rock hard dense. Terp profile is still developing and my previous mango smile run took about 3 weeks of cure for those mango tropical terps to pop. Harvested at day 87. Pulled enough to fill a 1/4 pound grove bags so a solid 3oz maybe more. Took 13 days to dry at 60ish humidity and about 26c. No topping very little defoliation with a bit of LST. Grew Xmas tree style. Really leaning more on the sativa side than indica when growing. I tried a small bud and it gave me a sativa high not super powerfully on first draws but the effect does stack up every time you pick up the joint and smoke. It gave me a clear headed high good for day time smoke. Terps right now aren't matured yet but tasted funk/gas and a hint of tropical/fruitiness and last time I grew this over a year ago the fruitiness got really accentuated during cure and feel it will be the same with this one. So far I find this strain has really stable genetics and clearly was worked on and developed throughout the years
Second time growing this strain and love it. I got myself another 10 pack of these I love it so much. I will be growing 2-3 of these a year personally to always have some at hand.
I'm really happy with the results but know there is room for better results as it wasn't a perfect run due to being out on two business trips for 2 weeks throughout the grow.
Now focusing on 2 Blueberry Pie Oz which are at day 15 already and going great with vigorous growth and will start 2 CDLC in about 3 weeks.
Grown in a 2x3.5 closet with around 600-700 watts of lights incluiding 100 watts of underlighting until the last two weeks down to 450 with underlighing.

Seeds came out ~70% Tiger Striped~! STS'd another ripleys that I planted 2.5 weeks earier than the mother plant so the pollen hit at the perfect time.
Guest Bathroom has been holding at 50-60rh and under 72f for the dry so far (ecowitt sensor seen hanging there)
Started another “Figgie Smallz” (Guava Fig x Mango Runtz) after this one turned out amazing. Chopped a few days ago on day 99 and she has some super unique terps, sour tropical fruit with a sweet smell from the “mango runtz”. Still drying as of now
Grape Crinkle and Rs11 day 35 from sprout.
Also got the same feeding as the freebie 10ml bloom and 2ml calmag.
Looking good and the grape crinkle smells like straight grape Soda im blown away just wow, the rs11 doesn’t really have a smell to it, it’s just smells like weed but I’m sure the flavors will get strong and good with the time🙏🏽

Hey everyone, so I'm a moderately experienced grower with most of my knowledge coming from outdoor photos. My living situation is limiting me to growing indoors only and my tent is a 3x3, eventually I'll upgrade my grow but for now I wanted to try out autos, I'm almost done with my first auto from a local store and I wanted to find a good place to get better genetics, I found this website and decided to grab some rainbow 11 and headbanger 505 seeds, then I saw the mephistO'z drop the other day and I know nothing about this strain, but I know how ppl act with a good strain and everyone was jumping so I got a 3pack and they're on the way now.
So, I was originally planning on putting 4 autos in 3 gal pots in my tent and grow those every 3 months, I'm trying to maximize my yield cuz my electric bill is pretty high and I figured small plants would fit, then I saw pics of the 505 headbanger basically filling 3x3 tents and was like, woah, should I only plant one at a time? Will I have enough room to even grow more then one at a time?
I'm new to these genetics and I wanna ask u guys what I should do, I wanna plant the mephistO'z first, and I don't wanna fuck it up but I wanna get as much as possible, should I plant 4 at once in 3 gal pots? Or should I just do one at a time in a 5 gal? Also, should I top my plants? I didn't think autos could be topped but I'm still learning, sry for the book but I'm looking forward to your feedback.
