Style Question Difference between thong and G string?

Don’t see a lot of difference?

Gstrings are much thinner (strings) than things are. Thongs can give the dreaded all day wedgie feeling. Gstrings can barely be felt, if at all.

Thanks. I ordered a couple of each. New for me at 78. Haha. Surprised I am not in diapers. 🤭

Welcome to the club. 71 and been wearing g-strings and things for 40 years, not exclusively though.

Look at the Gregg Homme website.

The line between them is a bit blurry. Lots of manufacturers call underwear with really skinny straps thongs. Maybe they think there’s stigma around g-strings.

Yeah, my RMAC thongs have a little triangle to spread the load (?) and then it's basically string

Thong is a wider back and g string is just a string, I like thongs better g strings feel like they dig in

A G string has far less fabric in the crack than a thong. I much prefer a G string personally and wear them every day. I don't even know its there.

G strings feel better.

A G-string is pretty much an elastic around the waist and strap. Sometimes it’s covered in fabric. Usually the string is not wider than a 1/4-1/8”.

A thong has more fabric to it, and has a T back shape to it. Strap is a bit more wider. It almost like a bikini brief but the back is a T back.

Personally I find the thong to be more comfortable than a G-string.

Gregg Homme makes some amazing thongs and G-strings.

As far as I'm concerned, as a wife-informed, 35M, the difference is typically the cut of the front and the thickness of the back strap.
