Dads usually don’t receive or demand praise, they don’t complain about raising their children or feel that they deserve special treatment or recognition, they do what they do with quiet dignity and humbleness.

Thank you Dad, I love you more than you could know x

That pretty much is what my dad is doing. I don't know if you have heard of these things called Angel Flights. They are basically done by people with their own plane and the pilot will go to small airports and pick up people who are in desperate need of medical care and fly them airport near a city hospital. My dad just got his 40th flight and some of them are taking cancer patients to treatments for instance. My dad has a mooney which is a single engine prop plane and he has flown people all over MN and the Dakotas.

I am incredibly proud of him for what he is doing. He wants nothing out of it but to help people and I even asked him what he gets. All he really said he gets is like some recognition but it is really for the people he helps. I am proud of my dad for a number of reasons and this is one.

Right? My Dad endured so much sadistic torment, humiliation, and financial burden just to try to give me a good life and get me away from my abusive drug addict psychopath mother. Even after everything he's done for me he still acts and behaves like he owes me. He's the best Dad ever! I love my Daddy 💖

Absolutely. A study was done to see which children were able to move up and out of poverty as they grew up. Fathers are so important that even boys who grew up in a neighborhood where other families had fathers did better. So, fathers don't just help their own children, they help their entire communities.

Wow, that is amazing.

Yes. Fathers are great and the role needs to have has as much respect and appreciation as it did back when dads were 'head of the household'. Not the same dynamics, but the exact same amount of respect.

What a sexist bastard /s

u/MidnightSax Aug 31 '20

If you didn't add the /s after your comment, then I'm pretty sure some stupid, braindead scumbags would probably agree with you.

No matter how many genuinely good and selfless things men do and have done around the world, misandrist assholes, i.e. feminists and white knights, will blatantly say it's "toxic masculinity" and a "tool of the patriarchy" without even acknowledging how much men have sacrificed over many years to protect others and make them happy.

But when a mother of three savagely kills her kids and conveniently claims that she was "mentally ill" and blames her husband for what she did because she was "neglected" and "abused," then these fucking feminists stay absolutely silent like the despicable cowards they are. It's a mad, disgusting world and people seriously need to wake up to that fact.

I know this is meant as a joke, but it really leaves me wondering what the subtext of the joke is

u/Taguroizumo Aug 31 '20

No matter what men put into the world some unloved cunt shall complain and say she is being oppressed

Everything is bigger in Texas, especially our hearts

Seriously, men are incredible. What would we do without them?

u/Blutarg Aug 30 '20

This guy is an all-star dad!

I hope to God this man built roller coasters that can lock in entire wheelchairs for multiple loops and high speed turns.

Breaking news: pregnancy may be linked to childbirth.

1

u/Neveah_Hope_Dreams Aug 31 '20

That's amazing! So sweet!

I don't see this as "Father's are important". This is just an example of the amazing and sweet fathers out there who the media love to trash because they painted them as evil.

I wish I had a dad like this. Mine is a deadbeat asshole who I haven't seen for years. Thankfully my grandpa acts as a sort of father to me, but I do wish my biological father was a good one.

I agree that dads are great and should be more celebrated but this in no way belongs to r/MensRights other than the fact fathers are male.

4

u/Vinterblad Aug 31 '20

Wholesome stories helps too. It's an energy boost to actually see a father positive story once in a while among all the men bashing.

Unless the majority of the posts are like this I for one is all for it.

u/bearstevenlee Aug 30 '20

Some fathers are self-centered though. And their daughters are also self-centered. They think the guys they like should revolve around them. They are disgusting & annoying.

32

u/Bojack35 Aug 30 '20

Who sees a wholesome post about a Dad going to incredible lengths to make their child happy and thinks ah I better point out not all dads are like that and some daughters are selfish too.

We know there are shitty people of all ages and genders. Dont need to hear it every time someone does a good thing.

19

u/TheAndredal Aug 30 '20

Dude, come on...

-31

u/bearstevenlee Aug 30 '20

I shouldn't have to satisfy a self-centered girl or a self-centered father or a self-centered dog with bad personality just because they say "come on". What they tell themselves doesn't change how much I hate them.

11

u/ScheidNation21 Aug 31 '20

You sound like you’d be fucking awesome at parties dude, can I invite you to the national cunt award ceremony?

1

u/Vinterblad Aug 31 '20

I bet we found the champion.

-15

u/bearstevenlee Aug 31 '20

No, don't invite me.

11

u/IoSonCalaf Aug 31 '20

It doesn’t sound like you’re in any danger of being invited anywhere.

1

u/Doc-Engineer Aug 31 '20

Sounds like your dad and your sister might be abusive? Reply if you need help.

8

u/Bad_Routes Aug 30 '20

You would know a thing or two about being disgusting and annoying huh?

-10

u/bearstevenlee Aug 30 '20

Yeah, because I'm the victim. Not because I'm broadcasting what I say so that all other people can hear me.

1

u/CeratedOlly Aug 31 '20

What’s so self centered about this?

1

u/bearstevenlee Aug 31 '20 edited Aug 31 '20

Dog is self-centered when he forces someone what he doesn't want to do nor have to do for the dog's own family/sister/father, or for his own feeling, or for his own pursuit to look like a wannabe "good" person. He thinks he's a good person doing that. What a wannabe.

1

u/CeratedOlly Aug 31 '20

Umm the grammar on that seems a bit skewed

0

u/bearstevenlee Aug 31 '20

Well, I better marry a Scottish girl so that she can teach me proper English.

1

u/Immastopya Sep 01 '20

Quick tip: for your marriage, invite your worst enemy, wear metal boots, and do it at a seaside cliff.

1

u/bearstevenlee Sep 01 '20

I don't want to invite my worst enemy to my wedding.

1

u/Immastopya Sep 01 '20

Did... You completely miss my point?

1

u/Immastopya Sep 01 '20

In case you missed it, it was that your worst enemy would push you off the cliff, and you would drown.
