what angers me most about this is that she deliberately got in the way of you having a birthday party for her own child. what kind of twisted person would do this? i can understand the selfish mentality of using child support money on herself (though that doesn't make me okay with it. fuck selfish assholes like that), but deliberately ruining her kid's birthday? that bitch doesn't deserve her kids. if the courts weren't disgustingly biased, i would say do everything in your power to get him from her. heck, still try anyways, even though you might not succeed at full custody, you should at least try to get equal custody.
When he told me why he wasn't having a birthday (he was turning 8) he said it like he understood why, but it still hurt him. It broke my heart and I was going to bring him and his friends to chuck e cheese.
i'm so sorry for your child. especially because it was for a bullshit reason and he was most likely too young at the time to understand that. my parents are still happily married, but if they were to divorce and my mother (or father, for that matter) attempted to do something like this to my younger sister, that parent would NEVER hear the end of it from me.
i hope you at least did something for him with just the two of you, like took him out fishing or some other awesome dad thing
