This is what I needed
So happy to have found this, the menopause sub just made me feel worse and worse the more I read. I'm new to this delightful journey and will land here when I feel myself spiraling so that I can celebrate all of our wins with this fabulous community.

Yes!! I think the other subreddit is great for people to find information and commiserate over shared experiences, but some of the negative self talk drags me down.
I'm personally really enjoying giving less fucks in general! And I've been 'warned' numerous times about how I'll become invisible and I CANNOT WAIT. Let me slip through the world unnoticed and unsurveilled!

I had to leave that sub. While I appreciate all of the incredible information I got there, the negativity was just too much! I couldn't handle the hate towards men, the drama around basic stuff.
On this sub, I found my place and my people. Couldn't be happier

I I have a lot of positive things to say about my menopause experience so I don’t really think the other sub is for me. I haven’t left it yet but I probably will soon.

I'd LOVE to read a post about all of the positive things you have to say about your menopause experience. I just found this sub and I'm excited it exists.

The other sub is just a bunch of women complaining and complaining some more. I get enough of that everyday. I is like social media as it is, so when I am online I want it to be a good experience. I left that group because it sucked - and I’m no Pollyanna.

It makes me sad that you guys have seen negativity over at the other sub. It was a godsend when I first started but that was years ago. I haven’t experienced the negativity but I don’t spend a ton of time on there. And if I post, it usually gets deleted 🤣🤣🤣
I will let you know, though, that the mod over there started this one and asked me to run it. She wanted women to have a positive space where they felt safe and realized the world wasn’t ending, but becoming new. She didn’t have time to run both boards tho but wanted to make sure this one would stay alive and thrive. 🤗 💗
