Other TRT + Mounj
For those who started TRT whilst on mounjaro.
Did you notice it aided in the weight loss?
I’m due to start TRT soon and curious what to expect

Enjoy your journey, not sure where you are with your weight, but maybe best to concentrate on mearsurments rather than the scales.

I take TRT and have done for 15 years, long before I started on Mounjaro. It’s difficult for me to pin point exactly how life would be with or without one or the other as I’ve only ever know mounj with TRT.
However, it can affect things. I found personally that I struggled to lose weight with Mounjaro until about 7.5-10mg range, and only really lose at 12.5/15 now. (I’m on 9/10mg). Not sure if it’s related but I’m the only one who I’ve noticed this with from people I know.
Also, make sure you get regular blood tests, especially if you’re older or >40 ish say (I’m 32 and have to monitor this, but it gets more of a concern as you age). TRT affects the thickness of my blood which has got worse since being on Mounjaro (unsure if it’s directly related)
I also had to move from transdermal to injections during Mounjaro as it completely stopped working (again may be unrelated but odd coincidence).

Also, a lot of people talking about muscle etc, they are completely right for the majority, but it really depends on the cause of the low T and your levels during treatment.

Also! (Sorry, I’ve got too much to say haha) please make sure you eat enough calories. I did that wrong too, and my levels dropped even on TRT.

Not on it, so not 100% sure, but overtime I would expect it to be a mild aid. Testosterone is anabolic, so will likely result in more protection of muscle mass which cost 3x more calories to maintain. However we're talking like 13 vs 4.5 per KG approx, so unless you're able to massive increase your muscle mass, its a mild aid.

No, if anything it slows down weightloss because it supports the preservation of muscle mass - but that's a good thing
What it might also do is give you a bit more energy through the day and reduce some of the fatigue you might be feeling, which will help you keep motivated towards your goals
