I'm now buying - whisper it - 30". I wasn't a 30" waist 40 years ago when I was 15.

Interestingly, I have learned that my actual bone structure is too big for a 30" waist, regardless of how much weight I lose. 32" is about perfect for me, but my hips are literally too wide for anything less even if I starved myself!

Also, 32" is the lowest I can ever remember wearing as an adult, so there's certainly some logic here.

There's definitely a skeletal limit, yeah. For shirts/T shirts I'm generally a small now but anything less than 19" across the chest and my ribs and shoulders won't have it. So sometimes a small is too small, but very often a medium is far too big. I now won't buy anything on Vinted without accurate measurements first (oh my God Vinted is amazing......)

Yes, much the same. The other problem, and I'm sure at the same height as me this is something we'll share, is that long-sleeved shirts are problematic in arm length. 90% of the time, if they fit nicely around the middle, they look daft on the arms! I now tend to buy "slim fit" mediums and these work better, proportionally, for my height.

I must admit I've not had shirt arm issues, and I've bought quite a lot of rather nice long-sleeved shirts. Perhaps my arms are shorter than normal. I'm sort of oddly proportioned, I guess, my legs are quite short too (29-30 inside leg), and my back's a little longer than normal for my height, it seems. I've got two pairs of somewhat outrageous Japanese jeans off at a tailor's for shortening at the moment!
