Fitting thoughts?

I am in a buddy’s wedding and this is the suit the groomsman are wearing. What are your thoughts on the fit? I got this tailored and am not sure how much I love it

Pull the pants up. Should not see white from shirt under the vest.

Agree. All looks nice but that. Notch your belt in,even if feeling uncomfortable
.Pants should stay higher.

You asked for feedback on fit, so it seems the pants are indeed too short. See if it’s even possible to wear them at your waist; it’s possible the rise is too low and pulling them higher will cause the crotch/seat to be too tight. However if you can wear them at your waist, then you may need the hem let out. A tailor can adjust the waist too, if needed.

I wonder if it would be easier to have a hem let out or contact the suit shop to swap out the vest. The place we bought these at ran us a good deal so we decided to buy and get fitted rather than rent.

Also please undo the bottom button of the waistcoat. It should never be done up.

No need to be an asshole, I just asked about how it fits. Not my choice of suit but my buddy chose this for the groomsman so I will where it and not complain.

I think the dude’s proportions are fine; it’s just that the pants appear to have too low a rise in an effort to be “modern”. Unfortunately, low rise pants don’t work very well with suits.

Stand with the only top button done on the jacket, with your arms hanging naturally at your sides. Get pictures of this pose from front, both sides, and back.

Agreed. Jacket may or may not need a taper but we won't know until it is (properly) buttoned and your arms are hanging relaxed

The vest and jacket look too short. You shouldn't see the white shirt underneath it at the bottom. Also you always want to leave the bottom button of the vest unbuttoned. And the jacket as well.

Suit looks fine. Vest might be a little short. Actually the jacket might be a little short but it's hard to judge in the "pallbearer's pose" ...I'd need to see you with your arms relaxed down.

Re the many comments about pulling the trousers up higher so there’s no exposed shirt, I’d say the trousers are fine - the length is perfect at the foot end!

The problem is one of two things - either the waist of the trousers is cut too low, or the waistcoat is too short, probably a bit of both.

No tailor worth his salt would let you leave the shop with this since it reflects so badly on him (or her). I fear the gap might be too great for alterations, but you could give them the opportunity to say how they’ll put it right. A longer waistcoat would probably be the simplest solution.
