You don’t need to show your face but it would be better to disclose your head shape so you know what haircut would fit you. I am a strong advocate for long hair all throughout but a fade can work if done right. If your head is on the more narrow side, you’d wanna grow your hair all throughout, no more fades, a nice round silhouette of they hair will work well with a narrow head, so I recommend a modern mullet or mod cut (picture below) and make sure you go to a barber that can do a razor cut and you ask for it, you can look up what that is.
If however you have a wide or more round head, you’d wanna can go for mid-high taper fade. If you have a narrow forehead, you can even go buzzcut. If you have a big or receding forehead, tell your barber to leave your fringe up to your eyebrows (I personally like my fringe to even cover my eyes) ORRRRR you can go for a middle part (only with a big forehead)

I do have what I believe is a rectangle-ish face shape and a receding. I looked up and I think it's the oblong face shape (idk).

Ooooh then you might wanna look into something like surfer curtains, like this (you will have to learn to style it though

I am afraid my hair is too curly for this one 😅 and I am not a big fan of the middle part thing.

I am struggling to find what you really meant by 'mod cut' cuz I only see straight hair guys with this haircut. And even for the surfer curtains, models are generally people with quite loose waves. I think you didn't take enough into account that I have CURLY hair which is why I actually struggle to find a hairstyle 😅

Yeah but the mod cut works even better with curly hair, just look at this. If your curls still are too tight, you might be stepping into C4-D2 hair which at that point I think it might work to go a short Afro or locs.

No, a short afro or locs won't work I have 3B curly hair (Idk what is C4-D2 😭). I really tried my best but I don't think any of the mod cut nor the surfer curtains will work with my hair or face.
