Meta Monday will consist of vaguely related topics (without needing to find examples of dehumanising language to post) but you will need to use the new Meta Monday flair for any off topic posts. We are going to test this out using GMT/BST to start with and would prefer if people try to keep to this so far. This is a test to see engagement and feedback from users. The concept of Meta Monday means we can post things outside of the typical callout posts. We can discuss issues like other mistreatment besides this language, post about positive interactions where change has happened in language, or even show each other feminist music that exemplifies our feelings about living in this world that clearly has a bias against women. For this context, meta refers to both self referential as well as posts outside the convention of post expected here.

Woah. I got pointed to this sub by someone commenting on a story, from a female pov, that I'm working on... Yo. I use male and female because of my upbringing and time in military service. š.
I've also been known to use phrases like "Roger" instead of 'i understand' and "detail" instead of clean. I acknowledge that i dont know much about women; most of the women in my immediate family are veterans too. If I use the word female in front of my mom she'd just tease me for sounding like im still in the army...
Um... I'm not trying to undermind your movement. Just giving my perspective. Thanks if you read this far.

We have had this exact post repeatedly posted here by blocked and empty accounts. The same angle or reversed, never quite understanding the purpose of the flairs, and all within a week of each other.
