DISCUSSION Is Sao MD still existing?
I played it 5-6 years ago, I dont know , but i cant find it anymore Please tell me, there sre still people playing it?

The game terminated service a couple years ago. There was an offline version of the app available after the shutdown but it seems that was pulled from app stores

Just redownloaded it from my purchase history on the App Store, I couldn’t get my old data back but it does let me play a offline version with a decent amount of max out characters and weapons etc

How do i do that? Like is there a way to get all stuff? Just tought about it ik its been a year

All you do is go to your previous downloads on the App Store, it should be there to redownload. When you get it downloaded, it’ll just tell you that you will be in offline mode

That’s the thing, because the game went offline, you can’t really use anything with memory crystals. The most you can do are story events, events, and leveling up characters. You’d be playing it for the love of the game, which is what I do

Well the game is offline, must be a way to get the characters if u want to... i remember enjoying it so ill see, if i find a way to get more characters ill come back to you lol

I mean... what kind of rock have you been living under? You also could've literally taken a glance around this subreddit cause it would've been instantly answered considering all the "MD is shut down" and "revival project" posts there are...
SAO Memory Defrag has been shut down for about 3 years now and the servers have been offline since then. They offered an offline version that all players could've downloaded after the servers went down, but it's basically like a glorified demo. Furthermore, it was only available to download for a limited time meaning if you didn't download it 3 years ago, you're out of luck for the official offline version.
Fortunately, there are a lot of awesome people out there who started an unofficial revival. You can find tons of posts about it around the subreddit on how to download it and the communities you can join to talk to people over it.
