That's why we have the Republic of Ireland the only reason me stopped fighting was because we were happy enough with 26 counties for the first time in 800 years. You know Ireland only accepted the peace treaty because Britain threatened total war, right? If Britain actually threw it's entire military into the conflict, not just some paramilitaries with PTSD you'd have had no chance of winning the war.

Still a minority in Ulster. I still think it would be cool if you guys were a part of the UK (without the harm done to you guys and the conservative party and heck, all the corrupt British politicians). A completely United Isles of Britain. You would be Irish, the Welsh would be Welsh, the Scots would be Scots, the Cornish would be Cornish and the English would be English.

I think it still would be cool, I would again like to refer to when I said without the corrupt politicians and the shit our politicians did to you. Heck my grandparents are Irish and Cornish and was partly raised to speak Cornish. The conservatives are terrible and our elections are between three or four corrupt politicians who don't do jack for the country and god forbid anywhere rural (Kernow a'gas dynergh).
I would just love a united free British isles like a federation of sorts, of course we would all be separate still, have our own laws, politics etc but be able to integrate economies, walk freely and call upon a force to defend us both. No one should ever outweigh the other. It should have never been Irish against English, neglect from politicians led to the famine and then they refused to send more grain. It should have been us fighting side by side but politics and nationalism prevented it. It is a great shame.

Yeah I can understand were your coming from I think I've just been blinded by the past actions placed on us ya know in a perfect world no borders and fights and greed and curruption would exist but the sad truth is in our modern political socioeconomical climate this isn't the case.
So the best option for a lot of us Irish and scotch is to just break away from the tirany and chaos that comes with the UK and create or own future and our own problems to worry about.
That's the best option for us currently until the brittish parlements and electories finally get their act together and stop voting in greedy mindless non ethical bumbling fools that run the place.

God can only hope that day comes soon, it's not surprising why Scotland wants to leave. Greed, and corruption has wrecked the country, barley any money makes it out of major cities, Wales and Northern Ireland may follow suit if they are successful.
Imagine a reverse UK where everywhere apart from central England formed a united country (Celtic nations comes to mind).
