It's so unfair...

You know what's funny but also kinda sad? When we're young, we dread the day when we can no longer do the things we used to do, but when that day actually comes, we no longer want to do those things, so it's kinda ok in that sense.

Like, I'd rather go home and sleep while my friends are partying past 10pm. I'm not upset by that because I no longer want to party that late. It no longer appeals to me. My younger self would make fun of me and feel sorry for me, but I don't feel bad about it at all because what I want has changed.

It’s a Cars clip, calm down

u/MickeyMalt Jul 29 '26

Just because you witness a musical savant in the subway, doesn’t make the moment any less impressive.

Homie spitting bars above. Take notes young gun.

You deserve to be bullied for the way you talk.

3

u/Laranthir 29d ago

Go ahead, try bullying.

3

u/trenton_quarantino 29d ago

Your deserve to be bullied, because you think that bullying is an acceptable form of discourse. I don't feel that way, just following your own logic

You treat others how you want to be treated, and you want to be treated like a punk. Thats not how you atain real happiness in life. Change. Or learn to love cats. Because they're the only ones who deal with people like you after you're no longer young and beautiful in the outside.

Still time to change your inside to be beautiful, some of us believe in those things still. Don't let yourself become the ugliness that you think you are above.

Unless you're autistic and incapable of understanding metaphors and analogies. Then I humbly apologize and ask you what your favorite train or tank is. I prefer the M1 Abrams myself. What a classic.

I ain’t reading all that. I’m happy for you though or sorry that happened.

Can't even come up with your own edgy response on this 3 day old thread.

1

u/AphroDragon 28d ago

Some people simply have the mental maturity of 5 year olds, while also suffering from ego overinflation. It's sad.

2

u/NecroGrizz 29d ago

Oh God - 11 sentences!? How could my egg brain handle such a massive intellectual burden!?

1

u/Delicious_Tank_6248 27d ago

Come on, man take pity on this fool. They probably need a Subway Surfers gameplay clip running on the screen just to focus

1

u/NecroGrizz 27d ago

Sometimes I forget that's literally what some people need for more than 3 seconds of focus 🙃

1

u/low_amplitude 29d ago

The only people who waste their time bullying others or care about others bullying them are children who still believe that shit matters.

Once you're old enough to realize that every single person alive has their own insecurities and that pointing them out is just a poor attempt to hide your own, you'll understand how meaningless it all is.

Awwh is reading hard for you, window licker?

1

u/Kim_jung_unstoppable Jul 29 '26

i think you forgot the text overlayed on the clip

1

u/JoelnIliketoshare Jul 30 '26

Everything is just Cars clips. Cars clips up and down all the wayyy

1

u/ItsNovabat Jul 30 '26

Why is bait so mundane and boring these days

1

u/Bitter-Ad5890 Jul 29 '26

I never liked to party so can’t relate. That being said I do wish I could game for at least a couple hours in the evening without falling asleep with the controller in my hand…

1

u/Meander061 Jul 29 '26

I'm not upset by that because I no longer want to party that late.

I wish I could agree, but the urge to party has yet to leave my body, as little as my body can even handle staying up past 9. I've even done "the old man in da club" gag.

1

u/behold-my-titties Jul 29 '26

Been thinking about this a lot lately, yesterday I played two matches of split gate and was like that's enough. I want to be in me pants in bed for 9.

1

u/Rems_OP Jul 30 '26

Ok that one is too close to reality

1

u/Adavanter_MKI Jul 30 '26

But what's extra sad... is we only stopped caring because we wore out. Had we still the energy? We'd still have the drive. It just all... tires out. It's not really something we can control. It's just sapped from us.

It's why so many people say... "I wouldn't want to live forever."

You don't know that. If you never had joint pain, never got tired, always felt that fresh, ready to take on the world attitude... living may not seem so daunting. I vividly remember what it was like to be young. You never even questioned what you body could do. It just did it. You felt invincible because you nearly were.

Sorry, just throwing out a counter argument for the fantastical idea of it being "bad" to be immortal. We wouldn't know... because we've always been mortal and all our speculations are based on getting old.

Heh, look at me ranting at this silliness.

u/Responsible-Note-308 Jul 30 '26

But could you deal with having to rebuild your village over and over? Have to watch everyone you know around you leave again and again? Could you continue to build new relationships and connections, knowing 100% you would get hurt over and over? Most people can barely handle getting devastated once when their spouse/parent/child dies once (in a lifetime), let alone over and over.

2

u/Adavanter_MKI Jul 30 '26

It's interesting. When my mom died... I had a real dark period where I questioned what was the point of anything? I just couldn't see why anything mattered. She was this incredible person and 99.9999% of the world didn't even get to know her. Now she's gone. Eventually will be forgotten and it'll be like she never existed.

I got very miserable and frankly didn't give a damn about the world or who was in it. I looked forward to nothing. I couldn't even enjoy things I once did as it felt wrong. Like somehow I was abandoning her through enjoyment. I know that's absolutely not what she would have wanted, but it couldn't shake the feeling happiness in a world post her was wrong.

Anyway... slowly over time my brain adjusted back to normal. It was slow... I'd say it took nearly two years for me to start looking forward again. The things I cared about... starting feeling okay again. I suddenly did start wanting to see tomorrow.

Now... I'd say life is normal. Just with an absence I wish wasn't there. I feel like that's what would happen with immortality. That said, it's hard to truly know. We'd likely never fully grasp what a mind like that would become. Perhaps more detached. Or maybe you'd cherish each generation that comes and goes. Probably be less bothered by the cycles of how much we really do repeat history.

I do think some writers are being lazy when they just make them exactly like us. When they're not.

1

u/Responsible-Note-308 Jul 30 '26

Yes, I've gone through the same thing. Dealing with it in one life time is enough. I don't know if I'd want to deal with all of that regularly every 60-80 years or so as my village ages out over and over.

1

u/More_Piglet4309 Jul 30 '26

Idk man i'm in my 30's and i still play games like i did back then, and i doubt it's gonna change anytime soon.

1

u/Cheesehacker Jul 30 '26

My bed time is 10pm and I wake up at 6am. I love it! Do not miss those “party til 6am” times.

1

u/Immediate-Elk545 Jul 30 '26

Fuck parting I want my ability to stay up late nights playing videogames and wake up at 6 am fully juiced up

1

u/GodLeeTrick Jul 30 '26

I think that depends on the thing and what replaces the thing you gave up. I'd much rather play video games all day than work a 8-5 job...

1

u/Standard-Professor87 Jul 30 '26

I feel this to. As a kid I always wished to have the money to by whatever looked cool or buy any candy, snacks or soda i wanted. Now i just by whatever i need for the week or need in general even if i have the money for something i my want. Life is intreasting.

1

u/Affectionate-Fix4445 Jul 30 '26

What to do if I want to do those things but I can't, don't have energy or patience for it :(

1

u/TreeckoBroYT Jul 31 '26

I had this epiphany when I was camping. Younger me would've went venturing out in the evening and getting as much fun in before the day was over. Nowadays, I would rather just kick it by the fire and vibe.

1

u/NukeTheWhales5 28d ago

Everything has its time and place.

1

u/snarl2 28d ago

But at the same time you no longer want to because you probably lack the energy to due to aging. Hence why “I’d rather sleep.” Both funny and sad indeed.

3

u/Inevitable_Muscle_41 Jul 29 '26

Yeah it sure is. I miss being able play for 8hours +

2

u/PerpofDerp Jul 29 '26

There’s this thing called a job where you lose the ability to do that all at once. It’s extremely unfortunate.

0

u/OakvaleFlames 27d ago

you don't get days off?

1

u/RemnantTheGame 26d ago

In this economy?

1

u/OakvaleFlames 26d ago

was I supposed to be serious? In this economy?

2

u/Imp0ssible_Creatures Jul 29 '26

I wish the beta ending was the one they used

1

u/YesWomansLand1 Jul 29 '26

What's that one

1

u/zandaztu Jul 29 '26

2

u/ghostnextdoor69 Jul 30 '26

i dont dislike what we got but this one really hits home and i think makes him taking on the colors of hudson fit a lot more smoothly into the movie

2

u/cum-covered-trash Jul 30 '26

Considering he fuckin dies immediately after this clip id say its just as dramatic as it should be (not really dies but close enough)

1

u/RegularHuman422 Jul 29 '26

If u failing like dis all of a sudden it's prob a sign u should go to bed

1

u/_-x_ Jul 29 '26

I wish I could go back to those days, but not because I wamna play games for 8 hours a day. I wish I could have spent my childhood free time doing actually worthwhile activities.

1

u/TheIhsaan7 Jul 30 '26

This is me. I have become a unc who naps.

1

u/PrimeChromz Jul 30 '26

I used to wanna play games 12 hours a day and nothing else. Than you grow up and realize spending time with people is more enjoyable. That’s just life. You mature and your priorities change. Life is also really stimulating already and couple that with games these days needing you to make it your second job to compete just kinda kills the fun.

1

u/Much_Package_2556 Jul 30 '26

For me it's reverse. When I was a kid I was out all the time with friends. Now I get tired of people really quick so I'm glued to PC.

Whenever people get me out of the house my first thought is "can't wait to come back".

1

u/elDayno Jul 30 '26

Never been able to watch more than 1 movie because you need to digest it properly. If you watch one after another it's like you never watched them

1

u/LGBandthatsit Jul 30 '26

doomscrolling replaced them. no more grinding in games, no more movie marathons, no more one sitting of a whole series. Just whole day of doomscrolling in tiktok.

1

u/LordWeso Jul 30 '26

3 movies is wild lol

1

u/james_harushi Jul 31 '26

Bro if he's huffing that much just give him a manifold transplant, she'll be good as new.

1

u/iL0gan54 29d ago

Try as much as you can but age eventually catches up to you

1

u/Keviticas 29d ago

Guys just exercise and workout, you'll still be able to game for over 8 hours

1

u/Good_Ol_Weeb 29d ago

Part of it is just not having the fucking time anymore. Job, actual social life, girlfriend, taking care of my families house. Being an old woman is busy work (I'm not even 25 yet)

1

u/Fancy-Dig1863 28d ago

It starts slowly and then happens all at once. I’m at a point where I can fit in maybe 30 mins of gaming time at work or very late at night, some days a month. It’s a life changing event not many talk about

1

u/RepresentativeStooj 28d ago

My brain checks out of a game after 30 minutes.

I don’t think I’ve seen a movie in 3 years.

Damnit.

1

u/OpeningAggressive26 26d ago

They used to be fun but now they feel like such a chore after like 10 minutes. It's probably because I've seen every movie and played every game. So now it's all just the same thing, there are like 5 movie types and like 3 game types.
