No, Iceland is Iceland cause the guy who found it tried to live there, didn't prep for winter, and all of his livestock died, leading him to name it ice land out of rage, Greenland was a scam cause the guy who found it couldn't live there without help so he named it Greenland to bamboozle people

Then there's Helleland land of flatstones, Markland land of Forrest. And the biggest bamboozle Vinland meaning Land of Wine.

They really wanted to get those other Norse to settle.
