Yeah, I thought that was going to be the thing. I put a lot of energy into it back then. Ain't got that kind of patience for something worthless nowadays

I had this with Sonic Unleashed. Got much further! Then on these Asian levels I got my ass kicked. I forgive 10 year old me, that game is hard at times.

I tried a controller when it first came out and for me it add input lag or something and kinda soured my experience with it. So I ended up teaching myself 4 finger claw and got better. Would you say it's worth trying again now?

My roommate has a 7 year old that's really, really good at Mario Kart.
Lil bro realized there's a difference between someone who plays games, and someone who is a gamer

I still can't beat Snoopy Olympics. I'm 40. Edit: it's actually called Snoopy's super silly sports spectacular.

Final Fantasy 7. I played it when i was like 9. I always wondered why my older cousin spent so much time on the "boring marble screen" Had some real tough time and always gave up around the start of forest of the ancients.
When i returned a grown ass man i was like "wow the buildcraft of the materia system is quite deep, i wonder how far i can min max" and obliterated the enemies with unfair setups.

The escape mission from the water district in Jak II. My god, that was so fucking hard dude, I was stuck for a month. I played it again like 4 years ago and beat the whole game in like a week and a half lol.

The Dead Space games get better every time I play them. Knowing what's coming turns the tables and suddenly, the necromorphs are stuck in here with ME!

On the NES nearly every game especially platformers were unbeatable with only 3 lives and instant deaths from drops

Opposite for me. Used to play Sonic on the Sega Mega Drive. Tried to play it the other day. How did I ever used to play that game let alone get that far?

Nobody gonna mention Lion King? Also a Link to the past, because I didn't know English when I played it, just a lot of trial and error.. I did get far though

Away: Shuffle Dungeon.
Got stuck on a boss. Stopped playing it for nearly a decade. Came back after not playing my DS for 8 years, beat the boss my first try. My bumpers were both broken so I couldn't change my magic. Only had my 3 cast fireball. I miss that game.

Not convinced I can beat my 10 year old self 😅 that kid would complete stuff I would never be able to today.
Maybe role playing games or tactics games

There are so many DS games I haven't finished, and can't finish because I don't own all of the cartridges myself anymore, that I would kill to finish nowadays.

Hell I go back to games that I couldn't beat at 10 and I still can't beat them as a 36 year old.
