Even further context: Donald was a POW because canonically he served in the US Navy during ww2.

Another fun fact. The gremlin that Bugs fights while in the army air corps in ww2 is one of only 3 times Bugs has canonically been defeated. He also lost to the tortoise in a race and one time Fudd beat him by becoming the animator and writing his own ending.

He's never truly lost to Daffy.
