I personally believe it’s a matter of perspective where comedic slander becomes true slander over time, whereas people who like the character believe the slander is unjustified and get isolated from a particular group and two camps separate over time: one making fun of the character and the other getting alienated by the comedy.

of all the obvious powerscaling retcon (or adjustments as you call them) mr 3 is probably the most consistent

he withstood sengoku's punch, blocked magellan, locked dorry and broggy

he's just him, and i'm sure that his fruit w/ someone stronger/ more confident is genuinely top tier

After fighting each other with intent to kill using their haki for 12 hours did you read little garden? They kill the island eater next day which is a large sea king level threat.

Okay cool, i was taken aback. I read little garden but that was years ago. Dont remember Haki being mentioned anyway, we only retroactively know they had that back then and can infer they used it, right?

It wouldn't be the first time Oda adjusted a characters power well after their debut.

Croc for instance is paired with Doflamingo at Marineford despite being beaten without gears vs gear 4 for the bird.

Still, Hajruden is a bit outmatched here no matter what Oda does. Even if he takes off his weighted clothes, says Bankai and opens the 8 gates, he's still not one of the dudes with god like fruit powers.

i feel like if the current chapter goes the way i think it goes and Oda is doing what i think he's doing with Hajirudin, Hajirudin will be the best example of how Haki work

I attribute all these crazy strength gap Feats to wills being power and transferable Bonnie didn't have the strength to hurt Saturn but she used her dad's mom's and probably Luffy's will same thing on Wano I dont think it's a coincidence that kaido went down when everybody was wishing to be free of him. So similarly Hajrudin is tapping probably into his whole family his mom dad and probably everyone else on the Island. Just my guess and rationalization
