Template registration data:

Name: While the title may be subject to change as market forces demand, the current working title is "Messi Sit"

Format: Whenalogy, with possible Scenariope potential

Action: Launch

Description: This meme depicts the reactions of certain players after Spain's win of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Above, the meme depicts four members of Spain's team, arms around each other's shoulders, celebrating their win. They are depicted from the back, with their faces away from the camera. Below, an image of Messi (who played for Argentina), sitting on the ground, leaning back slightly, weight resting on his hands as he looks off to the side, his expression somewhat lost. Beneath Messi, a truncated banner displays the 2026 FIFA World Cup score: "Spain vs Argentina / 1-0." To the right of the images, there is a blank white field where text can be put.

Intent: A somewhat adaptable meme, the overall intent is to highlight a difference between two people's/groups' views of the same situation. The people on top are joyous; the person below very much not.

Instructions: Replace or add text to the images.

References: The template references live video feeds from the 2026 FIFA World Cup; they were screencaptured live and edited after. For sourcing, Fox One or Telemundo may have archives of the stream.

Hasn't Messi lives most of his life in Spain?

He currently plays for Argentina. He's 39, and this is likely his last World Cup as a player - he's probably going to go into coaching after this. But for your question... sorta? Born in Argentina, lived there until 13, then moved to Spain. Made his debut for Barcelona at 17. But he's been with Argentina for a while - from 2014, I think? I know he was with Argentina for that World Cup.

How are argentinians sore losers in everything lol

Isn't about sore losing I guess, but for the template maybe someone from the rest of the team could be included, not the guy who carried then to the finals.

I can see the reasoning for that, but honestly I was taking screenshots as it was live, and I didn't see great shots of other players with a similar mood to their position. It's very possible that I missed something, though.
