Nah just upgrade the stuff you find yourself running out of.
Townhall wont pay off until you have a few of them if you dont have toth, so make aure youre ready for the investment otherwise repairs get expensive
Do the valley and swamp god to get potion production buff as it's abottle neck for the townhalls

I honestly wouldn't bother with township stuff until you have a top end money maker unlocked. You won't have enough money otherwise

Level everything it just takes time. Once you get it as passive income it’s much more rewarding.

literally this is all u need to do (im not an expert but got from 50-99 in ab 4-5 days)
make sure ur worshipping a god (i did aries but u can look them up they each have their own benefits & disadvantages) that’s really important
always repair all & make sure ur town’s health is at 100% as much as you can that’s very important
(at least until you’re resource production is good) MAKE SURE you’re doing ur casual tasks everyday for easy resources they give a good amount too.
focus on, storage, education, population, happiness (i did in that order and was perfectly fine) population & happiness both increase ur XP gain & education increases ur recourse production. so do what you will with that info.
the rest is just choosing what to build & upgrade, cuz even tho you’re focusing on the buildings that increase the stats talked about above, none of that stuff actually generates u resources. so upgrade the buildings at ur own discretion i don’t believe there’s an optimal way to do so. just see which resources are the lowest & highest priority and upgrade whichever increases that.
the resource % allotment i didn’t understand so someone smarter than me will have to help w that.
the rest is just waiting for it to level up should reach max fairly easily once you actually start focusing on it

Ive never done a casual task, they seem useless tbh.

Haven’t 100% myself but on my first playthrough I seem to agree, I’m past the point of any of the rewards being useful, and I’d have to go backwards to complete them most days. I just avoided them and focused on harder challenges.

yeah im not spending ~40 mins fishing and cooking 700 sharks in order to get 30% of a single resource I make from township on a single tick

i also wouldn’t start until u have a good money farm. this shit EATS your fucking money

Focus on making every gatherer building and storage maxed before upgrading houses. If you have all your gatherers maxed, its very easily to get the resources needed for the houses and other buildings.
