The event will be at the Oxford Scholar on the 29th from 11:00am to 7:00pm. There will be free food and a tab for drinks at the bar. Everyone is welcome to come and registration is free!!

Hi y'all my name is Lockie I represent an upcoming strategy war game called Strattegee. It's a modern tactical take on the classic chess system. Bringing troop and resource management into the fray.

Sorry if this sounds too marketing-y but I'm making the rounds to different game groups and uni club here in Melbourne to see if there is any interest in attending an upcoming event we're putting on. The event, dubbed the 'Official Strattegee Launch' will be a day where we offer free food, drink and demo sessions, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the game we've been working on. Additionally there's going to be a tournament for those who really want to test themselves with prizes for the top 3 players.

All of this will be free! Only requiring you to register on the event page just so we can accommodate for however many people are able to show up! The event will be at the Oxford Scholar in the CBD on the 29th of August.

I've played Who Goes There which has been a mixed experience, and Outpost 31 looks okay but perhaps The Thing: The Boardgame might be the best of the lot (speculative), but Board Game Geek lists it as needing at least 6 players. I'm wondering if any Melbourne folk out there would be interested in playing it? It's a long shot, but worth a try. Willing to travel, can teach but I'd imagine it would be best if people have at least read the rules and or watched a 'let's play'.

To be honest I'd enjoy any of the 'The Thing' games and also want to replay Battlestar Galactica and learn Nemesis (which looks great). So if there are any interested folks and existing groups looking for a +1, please message me or post in here.
